ABOUT US<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\tThe Commercial Appliance Recovery Society (SORAC) is the official recognized producer responsibility organization (PRO)<\/a> responsible for the recycling program of commercial and institutional refrigeration appliances designed and intended for use throughout Quebec.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

The program allows to safely process the hazardous components the recovered products contain, such as:<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

    • Enable the members to meet the requirements of the Regulation Respecting the Recovery and Reclamation of Products by Enterprises<\/li>
    • Ensure that products concerned are recycled in a responsible manner that protects the environment and the health and safety of the workers<\/li>
    • Implement, throughout Quebec, a program that aims for recovery and reclamation rates in accordance with the Regulation<\/li>
